The extension project “Women's Writings: tracing lines in education, human rights and public policies in Varginha/MG”, financed by the Minas Gerais State Research Support Foundation (FAPEMIG), is registered with the University's Extension Actions Control Federal de Alfenas (CAEX-UNIFAL-MG) under number 6982. Started in March 2024 (ending in December this year), the project is coordinated/executed by the Gender for Non-Intolerance Research Group (GENI) and proposes self-reflection of its participants, women in situations of social vulnerability, about their experiences. The materialization of this self-reflection takes place through conversation circles and the production of various texts written by the participants. For its execution, the project makes methodological use of the Tertúlias Literárias (Flecha et al., 2013), the concept of “escrevivência” by the Minas Gerais writer Conceição Evaristo (2020) and her short stories, published in the book Insubmissas lágrimas de mulheres (2011). In addition to this activity, the project unfolds into several other social and cultural actions, expanding its field of activity, initially limited to CRAS II (Social Assistance Reference Center), and establishing partnerships with other institutions serving women in situations of social vulnerability. and other women's communities.
