Abstract

The article is the result of a study investigating the contributions of the pedagogical practices of a Civil Society Organization to Integrated Education in a school in Vila Albertina, São Paulo, between 2022 and 2024. With a qualitative approach and an interpretative paradigm, it adopts a case study involving document analysis, direct observation and interviews. It is based on the concept of educating cities and the ideas of Teixeira, Ribeiro, Arroyo and Moll, advocating the integration of formal education with social, cultural and emotional aspects. Using the methodology of Bardin (2016) and Minayo (2010), the analysis shows that CSO activities strengthen community identity, promote social inclusion and complement public policies. The research highlights the efficiency of partnerships between CSOs and schools in building educating neighborhoods and emphasizes the need for articulation between local agents and macro policies to ensure sustainability
