COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION IN BRAZIL: NORMATIVE STRUCTURE AND IMPACTS ON EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

This study aimed to analyze the normative structure of comprehensive education policies in Brazil, emphasizing their advances and limitations. To this end, a documentary research was conducted based on ordinances, resolutions, laws, guiding documents and bibliographical references on the subject. The results show that such policies were designed to help improve the performance of public schools, resulting in an increase in the time students spend in school. Despite their limitations, these policies have moved towards promoting the comprehensive development of students through differentiated and contextualized activities, partially meeting the objective of improving comprehensive education.
