ESPECTRALIZAÇÕES DE HAMLET: APROXIMAÇÕES ENTRE A TEORIA DA TRADUÇÃO E A APROPRIAÇÃO LITERÁRIA

Resumo

Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de reflexão sobre a questão da influência do Hamlet de Shakespeare em algumas obras contemporâneas. Procurou-se definir os diversos instrumentos críticos da prática intertextual de adaptação e apropriação literária. Analisam-se as diversas acepções para os termos “adaptação” e “apropriação”, bem como procura delimi-tar e adequar seu uso. Amplia-se o debate a respeito das influências no fazer literário ao apro-ximarem-se conceitos de natureza filosófica presentes na Teoria da Tradução, representada mais especificamente por Walter Benjamin (2001) e Jacques Derrida (1994) (2002) (2005), a uma perspectiva mais pragmática, mas não menos complexa, da intertextualidade como pre-conizada por Roland Barthes (1981) e Julia Kristeva (1980).

HAMLET’S ESPECTRALIZATION: APPROACHES BETWEEN THE THEORY OF TRANSLATION AND THE LITERARY APPROPRIATION

This paper proposes a reflection on the question of the influence of Shake-speare's Hamlet in some contemporary works. We sought to define the various critical instru-ments of the practice of intertextual literary adaptation and appropriation. It is analyzed the various meanings of the terms "adaptation" and "appropriation", and it aims at defining and tailor their usage. The debate about the literary influences is broadened when approaching philosophical concepts as present in Translation Theory, more specifically represented by Walter Benjamin (2001) and Jacques Derrida (1994) (2002) (2005), to a more pragmatic but no less complex notion of intertextuality as advocated by Roland Barthes (1981) and Julia Kristeva (1980).
