Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze some of Marcelo Ariel's poems in which the figure of the child is central, in order to discuss some questions about childhood. firstly, based on some poems, to propose a reflection on children's worldview, their first excited contacts with things and the possibility of poetically signifying and re-signifying them, based on the theoretical assumptions of Charles Baudelaire and Adilson C. Habowski and Cleber G. Ratto. Next, we will analyze poems in which children appear in contexts of extreme violence, due to the recurrence of violent scenarios in Marcelo Ariel's poetry. By dialoguing the purity and naivety of childhood with the harshness of social reality, the article aims to understand the intersection between these two themes as a literary device of resistance and denunciation.

Mário Sérgio de Oliveira Vaz, UFPR - Universidade Federal do Paraná

PhD in Philosophy from the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) in the line of Ethics and Political Philosophy with a Capes grant. Master's in Philosophy from the Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE), in the line of research Ethics and Political Philosophy, also with Capes funding. Graduated in Philosophy from the Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste do  Paraná (UNICENTRO), where he has been a fellow of the PET/Philosophy Program since 2016 and a Scientific Initiation researcher. He was a collaborating professor on the undergraduate courses at UNICENTRO, Irati - PR campus. He is currently a philosophy teacher on the permanent teaching staff of the Paraná state education network (SEED-PR), working in the following teaching modalities: Comprehensive and Technical Education. Author of the book “On the dignity of action in Hannah Arendt” (Apolodoro Virtual Edições, 2021).
