ÉPICA E DISCURSIVIDADE EM SOUSÂNDRADE E PEPETELA

Resumo

A partir do conceito de épica e da múltipla discursividade produzida por este gênero literário, este texto reflete sobre o herói em O Guesa, de Sousândrade, e Mayombe, de Pepetela, e os diferentes contextos literários neles apresentados. Pretendemos estudar como o índio brasileiro e os guerrilheiros angolanos tornam-se, na poesia e na prosa, alegorias de identidades pessoais que representam identidades nacionais e, a partir da teoria pós-colonial, observar novas maneiras de representação da história e da ficção.

EPIC AND DISCOURSE IN SOUSÂNDRADE AND PEPETELA

From the concept of epic and the multiple discourses this literary gender produces, this text reflects about the hero in O Guesa, by Sousândrade, and Mayombe, by Pepetela, and the different contexts that emerge from them. We intend to study how a Brazilian Indian and Angolan guerrillas become, in poetry and novel, allegories of personal identities that represent national ones and, from post colonial theories on, we also intend to observe new possibilities of representing history and fiction.
