“Dores só as minhas”: notas sobre Angústia / “Pains, only mine”: notes on Angústia

Resumo

Este artigo pretende lançar uma investigação em torno do romance Angústia, publicado em 1936 por Graciliano Ramos. Sob a ótica psicanalítica de intelectuais à sombra de Sigmund Freud, como Jacques Lacan, analisa-se o fenômeno da angústia subjacente no texto, bem como a maneira pelo qual os afetos se desencadeiam, através dela, na vida do protagonista Luis da Silva.

This article intends to be an investigation on Graciliano Ramos´s  novel Angústia, published in 1936. Departing from the perspective of psychoanalytic intellectuals such as  Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan, we analyze the anxiety phenomenon in the text, and  how it unleashes affections. This is studied through the representation of  the protagonist´s life: how Luis da Silva reaches heights of wretchedness, of an indeed miserable life.
