ESTIMULANDO O AUTOCUIDADO COM PORTADORES DE HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL SISTÊMICA: A LUZ DE DOROTHEA OREN

Resumo

Objetivou-se desenvolver ações de educação em saúde com vistas a estimular o autocuidado ao paciente portador de hipertensão arterial à luz da teoria do autocuidado de Dorothea Orem. Trata-se de relato de experiência do projeto de prática assistencial, desenvolvido no decorrer do segundo semestre de 2010 e primeiro semestre de 2011, com os integrantes do Grupo de Hipertensos da Estratégia de Saúde da Família II. Como resultados ocorreram quatro grupos educativos, os quais possibilitaram a aproximação, o cuidado e a construção coletiva de conhecimento. Evidenciamos a importância de desenvolver trabalhos junto aos participantes do Grupo de Hipertensos, para conversar, conhecer e trocar conhecimentos acerca da hipertensão arterial e o esclarecimento de dúvidas que os mesmos tinham a respeito do tratamento, proporcionando através desses encontros espaços de socialização e sensibilização a respeito da situação em que estavam vivenciando.

ENCOURAGING SELF-CARE SKILLS WITH SYSTEMIC ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION PATIENTS: IN THE LIGHT OF DOROTHEA OREM

ABSTRACT: It was aimed to develop health education actions with intent to encourage self-care skills to patients with arterial hypertension in the light of the Self-care theory by Dorothea Orem. It is about an experience report from a health care practice, developed during the second semester of 2010 and the first semester of 2011, with the members of the Grupo de Hipertensos da Estratégia de Saúde da Família II (Hypertensive Group of Family Health Strategy II ). As a result there were four educational groups, which made the approach, the care and the collective construction of knowledge. We highlighted the importance of developing work along the Hypertensive Group participants, chatting, meeting and exchanging knowledge about hypertension and the clarification of doubts they had regarding treatment, providing, through these meetings, areas for socialization and raising awareness about the situation in which they were experiencing.
