LITERATURA E CINEMA: UMA LEITURA INTERTEXTUAL DE DOM, DE MOACYR GÓES

Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma leitura intertextual do filme Dom (2003), de Moacyr Góes, em relação ao romance Dom Casmurro (1899), de Machado de Assis. A partir da aproximação entre o texto-fonte e o texto sincrético, investiga-se o processo de adap-tação do literário para o cinematográfico, observando as especificidades de cada linguagem, além da relação entre a proposta do diretor/roteirista e a recepção do público.

LITERATURE AND CINEMA: AN INTERTEXTUAL READING OF DOM, BY MOACYR GÓES

The aim of this paper is to present an intertextual analysis of Dom (2003), a film by Moacyr Góes, regarding the novel Dom Casmurro (1899), by Machado de Assis. From the comparison between the source text and syncretic text, we investigate the process of literary adaptation, observing the specificities of each language and the relation between the director’s film proposal and its audience reception.
