Resumo

Este trabalho objetiva investigar como os personagens do conto “Os
sobreviventes” (1982), de Caio Fernando Abreu, rememoram e reavaliam as experiências políticas e culturais das décadas de 1960 a 1980, no Brasil. O conto discute a perda dos ideais desse período. Esta análise considerará os estudos sobre trauma (GAGNEBIN, 2006), literatura de testemunho (SELIGMANN-SILVA, 2003) e história (BENJAMIN, 2005).

This work aims to investigate how the characters of the short story “Os
sobreviventes” (1982), by Caio Fernando Abreu, remember and evaluate the political and cultural experiences from 1960 to 1980 in Brazil. The short-story discusses the loss of the ideals of that period. This analysis will consider studies on trauma (GAGNEBIN, 2006), literature of testimony (SELIGMANN-SILVA, 2003) and history (BENJAMIN, 2005).
