NO OLHO DO FURACÃO: REVISTA VEJA, CENSURA E DITADURA MILITAR (1968-1985)

Resumo

Este artigo discute a relação entre censura e imprensa no Brasil, a partir de uma leitura histórica sobre as direções que a censura tomou, sobre quais grupos atuou e em que medida isso ocorreu, tendo como fonte a trajetória da revista Veja e algumas de suas reportagens entre 1968 e 1985. Busca-se perceber a censura em seu percurso histórico no Brasil contemporâneo, para daí mostrar como se dava a relação entre imprensa e censura na última ditadura militar brasileira.

This article discusses the relation between censorship and the press in Brazil, departing from a historical reading of the directions taken by censorship, and the analysis of the groups on which it acted, and to what extent it occurred. Investigation takes the timeline and stories from Veja Magazine between the years of 1968 and 1985 as its source. It seeks to
view censorship in its historical path in contemporary Brazil in order to present the relationship mechanisms between censorship and the press during the most recent military dictatorship in Brazil.
