O ESTRANHO ESTRANGEIRO E A POÉTICA DO VESTÍGIO EM “BEM LONGE DE MARIENBAD”

Resumo

O estudo de "Bem longe de Marienbad", de Caio Fernando Abreu, incluído em Estranhos Estrangeiros, apresenta uma leitura articulada das informações encontradas no nível da história - enunciado - a partir da ação discursiva do narrador, no nível da enunciação, explorando contextualmente questões pertinentes à dimensão cultural subjacente à escritura do relato, constituindo o que pareceu oportuno denominar "poética do vestígio", estratégia de composição narrativa segundo a qual se organizam os três campos de discursos implicados na narrativa. Ao redesenhar interpretativamente a trajetória do narrador-viajante pelas ruas de certa cidade do Norte europeu, pretende-se compreender a relevância dos vestígios que o protagonista recolhe durante a viagem e abandona ao longo do texto. É intenção deste trabalho examinar atentamente, pelo menos, duas questões: a formação e a afirmação identitária do indivíduo em condição de exílio, e o funcionamento da poética do vestígio atuando nas esferas da cultura, da enunciação e do enunciado.

THE STRANGE STRANGER AND THE POECTIS OF THE TRACE IN “FAR AWAY FROM MARIENBAD”

Caio Fernando Abreu´s "Bem longe de Marienbad" (“Far away from Marienbad”), collected in Estranhos Estrangeiros, presents an articulated reading of the information found at the level of the story( enunciate) and the narrator´s discursive action (enuncaiton), contextually exploring what may be called a “poetics of the trace”, a narrative strategy by which the three narrative levels are organized. This study interpretatively
retraces the travelling narrator´s path along the streets of a city in the north of Europe, seeking to understand the relevance of the vestiges the protagonist finds along his trip and displays along the text. It is the goal of this esay to examine at least two questions: identitary formation of one in exile, and the operation of the “poetics of vestige” as it is inscribed in culture, and in the enunciate and the enunciation.
